Great Marsh Shorebird Survey
Each summer we conduct the Great Marsh Shorebird Survey as part of the Massachusetts Shorebird Blitz, a coordinated effort to count migrating shorebirds across the state of Massachusetts and assess how the state’s coastal estuaries and beaches support these declining species.
Project Owlnet
Project Owlnet seeks to understand more about the migration and life history of the tiny Northern Saw‑whet Owl. By banding owls and contributing to a shared database of over 125 stations across North America, we help track how these secretive raptors move.
Morning Flight
By delineating and characterizing morning flight across the Great Marsh, we’re uncovering how this vast coastal ecosystem supports migratory songbirds at a critical stage of their journey.
